Parent Support

Mrs Laverick

Mrs Laverick, our ELSA Support Lead, provides tailored resources and guidance to parents seeking additional support for their child. By building strong relationships with both children and parents, Mrs Laverick ensures a collaborative approach to each child’s individual needs.

Initially, parents are invited to a meeting at school or offered a telephone consultation to discuss their child’s requirements. Following these discussions, Mrs Laverick develops personalised resources and advice to be used at home or school.

Regular follow-ups with parents allows Mrs Laverick to evaluate the effectiveness of the support and discuss any necessary next steps. Additionally, Mrs Laverick connects families with specialised support services, fostering a network of communication between families, teachers, and external agencies. This allows us to ensure that children receive the best possible support tailored to their needs.

Examples of the support provided include:

  • helping to form routines,
  • issues around bedtime,
  • eating difficulties,
  • not wanting to come to school and much more.
