Author Visit
On Tuesday 8th June, Whale Hill had an exciting visitor – the popular author, Mr Tom Palmer. He offered to sell his books for £5 and £6 and sign them for you. He has written some very exciting books about football, including The Football Academy series, and war, such as Armistice Runner, D-Day Dog and After the War. During his assembly, we asked questions and he gave immediate answers.
Tom Palmer also offered to teach some Year 6 children a writing lesson. After lunch, the School Council organised a book signing session, giving the Key Stage 2 children the chance to meet Tom. If you missed the chance to buy one of Tom’s books, you can still buy his books online for the same price. Although his book, After the War, is only suitable for older children.
